About us
Situated in the quiet village of Surin in the department of the Vienne/Charente (Nouvelle Acquitaine) you will find our lovely old farmhouse, sympathetically renovated with love, fully equipped for comfort and a relaxing vacation.
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland where you can enjoy nature at its best with cycle routes and hiking trails in abundance, or for the less adventurous, take local strolls through the woods.
The gite is in a central position where the local French cuisine and wines are easily found within a 30 minute drive in the picturesque villages of Nanteuil en Vallee, Verteuil and Ruffec not forgetting our nearest being Civray and Charroux all steeped in history.
A little further away you can visit : Poitiers, Limoges and Niort. In Angoulème you have a French market every day, Cognac is highly recommended.
If you like the beach? The ocean, lakes and beaches are not far away: La Rochelle is one and a half hours by car.
